Sound Sleep with Ayurveda

Ayurveda is the quest for longevity and is a sister science to yoga. Ayurveda teaches us that the elements in nature are a part of each one of us as well. Come learn self care practices to set yourself up for sound sleep.

In this virtual workshop, BZ will give you a short background on Ayurveda followed by teaching you a self foot massage. After you've applied the warm oil you have at home to your feet, you'll lie down and be directed in a deep breathing exercise, followed by a soothing body scan. I've included a list of suggested supplies. If you don't want to oil your feet or don't have any on hand, you can still participate and follow along. For the breathing exercise and body scan, you can be in savasana (corpse pose). This can be on your home yoga mat or on your bed. Set yourself up in that space for this workshop.

Supplies suggested:

  • A bowl of hot water to submerge your bottle of oil.

  • Any oil from your kitchen (olive, sunflower, grapeseed, almond, etc.)

  • Your favorite essential oil (not necessary but nice to have)

  • 2 hand towels. One to wipe your hands and another for your feet to rest on.
